Not yet! You must pass a skills evaluation by our training team.
A skills evaluation is a 30-minute practical evaluation held by our Training team during the Fall and Winter semesters. You will be assessed (pass/fail basis) on the skills commensurate with your certification level.
You must pass a skills evaluation every new academic year.
Revise your notes from the first aid course(s) you’ve taken, practice some skills if possible with your friends, and brainstorm possible scenarios you may encounter.
Skills evaluations are announced on our WhatsApp Group.
Once you pass our skills evaluation, you can sign up for a shift when it is announced on the website or WhatsApp group. Some seasons are more busy than others, so keep on the look out for new shifts!
There are many factors that affect this, including certification level, experience, type of event, etc.
